With the rapid growth of economy over the past decade and the coming WTO accession of China has resulted in a dramatic increase in the demand for freight forwarding and logistics and from this emerging market. Air-City started its China operations in early 90s. In the year of 1996, Air-City Group was found in Tianjin with the Grade One forwarding agent approved by the States Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) and is among the first group of freight agents who were authorized to conduct direct shipping business within China.
In 2004, Air-City was successfully approved again by the Chinese government to become a solely-owned International Forwarding agent namely Air-City (Xiamen) Freight International Co. Ltd.
